Section 6.C — Behavior
Sumter Academy prohibits acts of bullying, cyberbullying, harassment, intimidation, or any behavior that compromises the learning environment and well-being of students, faculty or staff.
Bullying may include the following specific behaviors:
- Repeated behaviors targeting an individual/group
- Hitting, kicking, shoving, spitting, hair pulling, etc
- Teasing, name-calling, critical remarks, or threatening, in person, by NetMail or NetText message
- Rude and/or threatening gestures
- Intimidation, extortion or exploitation
- Spreading rumors or harmful gossip
- Hazing
Students are responsible for reporting violations. All reports will be documented and the student, or appropriate adult, should complete and submit a Bullying, Harassment, or Intimidation Reporting form.
