Chapter 17, Page 11
Taken from ATUHM user manual:
[Operator Override—Safety Protocol]
Should the operator become incapacitated during Manual Operation Mode, the Sonet Intelligence Drive (SID) will assume automatic control and immediately deactivate all ATUHM functions until further commands are issued. The operator’s safety and well-being are always the SID’s foremost concern.

Er, am I asking too much of a comic if I ask how the cables are being animated? It’s not like they have servos in the cables (what would be the point?).
Hmm. Nanotech maybe? Enough of those suckers could make all sorts of things do what they weren’t designed to do. Though, what would be the point of having them on the mech? Unless they weren’t on the mech originally; the “bad guys” got them on the mech in order to make the AI go crazy.
Nanite wired cables for self repairing should an internal line snap through stress induced through damage to the machine or operator carelessness perhaps? From there it’s a “simple” matter of programming… not too far of a difference from stretch cable to reach a tear vs stretch cable to bodily restrain.
In this case the “removal of unnecessary component” leads me to think maybe a protocol to remove damaged loaders – ie: like that arm Madi shot. Though, again, ‘reprogrammed’ with removing or restraining the operator inside.
And now we get to the hentai tentacle sex.
😆 you noticed.
While he noticed he failed to say correct phrase:
I have seen enough hentai to know where this is going.
Now this is reminding me of that scene in Superman 3.

Any one else notice that she was wearing gloves before entering that machine, but then the gloves were gone when she was being robotized?
I’ve seen Superman 3 a bunch of times, but don’t think I’ve ever noticed that continuity error until now.
okay, who authorized this in development… those R&D nerds should be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired
