Sumter Academy // Housing Policies
Section 1.A — Requirements
All students enrolled at Sumter Private Academy are required to live on campus.
Our goal is to provide a learning community where students can concentrate on their studies while gaining a greater sense of responsibility, maturity, and independence. Our residence policies are structured to aid in Sumter’s mission of developing every student’s full potential.
Student and faculty/staff residence halls are located on the second floor. A maximum of two students are allowed per room. Please note, we do not allow students to choose roommates. In some instances, only one student may be assigned to a room. Basic furniture, storage, and amenities will be provided.

Hmm, prison uniforms, one size too small (no matter the size of the prisoner)
Uniforms only come in three sizes.
Too big, too small, and out of stock.
When we changed uniform suppliers the initial quality was good but dropped off fast after the initial stocks that got them the contract ran out.
I ordered three pairs of trousers once, got one that would have fallen off without a belt cinched tight, one I could barely fasten and one that fit pretty well. Got a shirt once with one shoulder badge on sideways and another officer got one with one short sleeve and one long one that came well past her elbow.
Oakland (CA) induction station, August 1968 – everything fit well then, and would still today if I hadn’t filled out. The dress shirts still fit.
