Hey Reena,
Madison said she gave you an overview and some tips for working undercover. Due to time constraints and how fast this assignment was tossed in your lap, there was no way she could fully prepare you for everything in time. So she wanted me to send along a few more documents you can look over. Each of these link to larger articles in the Department’s database:
Vital Tips for Covert Operators
- Being Detail-Oriented: The importance of knowing the ins-and-outs of your cover story. Suggestions on how to successfully memorize and naturally disclose details about your identity.
- Adapting and Blending In: How to “De-Cop” and not draw unnecessary attention to oneself. How to maintain a successful cover and avoid breaking cover in difficult situations.
- Ethics in Undercover Work: An overview of covert operation methods and various ethical issues, moral dilemmas, and ideal solutions. We also look at the three models of undercover work: the Dirty Hands Model, the Instrumental Model, and the Liability Model.
If you have any questions/concerns about the op, or need more info, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best,
Cherie

Careful Steps, Reena. Careful Steps.
That third suggested reading, cops have ethics. LOL
I sort of resent the implication that law enforcement officials have no ethics.
Aren’t we supposed to avoid ‘tarring everyone with the same brush’ ?
You can just as easily say that ‘all antifa protesters burn small family businesses’ or ‘all blm actrivists are thieves who use donations to buy houses’
Just remember when the trouble starts who it is that runs toward the screams and that if everyone practiced the same ‘ethics’ they demand of those protecting them, there wouldn’t be any need for police.
Agreed!
“who is it that runs towards the screams” not the cops, especially after Uvalde
That’s what happens when you turn the upper levels into politicians and give the criminals veto power ovr the police.
Then you hire based on level of ‘wokeness’ instead of ability to functionally do the job and make enforcing laws something to be avoided.
Then you let the media take the side of the criminal and find Officers guilty of doing their jobs in accordance with laid down policies or have them disciplined, fired or jailed for daring to defend themselves or others from some 6’7″ drugged up psycopath.
No wonder the retirement rate is so high in some areas, you wanted to defund the police ? they’re doing that for you by leaving, good luck with the ‘conflict management workers’ when it’s your door getting kicked in because somebody with a grudge and an axe got the address wrong.
There’s also the unfortunate fact that, since the introduction of the Patriot Act, much of the police force has become hyper-militarized. Also, instead of actual police recruits the positions have instead been filled by mercenary-like individuals. So forget about everyone following the 3 prime directives anymore (serve the public trust, protect the innocent, uphold the law), it’s all about being gung-ho and taking down the enemy regardless of civilian safety or who’s actually innocent. And don’t forget that many so-called officers participating in riot squads shed their name tags so as not to be identified (that in itself is illegal). It’s not like this everywhere though, and there are still some decent officers out there who swear by their prime directives and who make sure the streets are safe as they can be, but it is getting worse as the years go by. Worse to the point where the civilians themselves will take over the job of law enforcement in order to protect themselves as the police can no longer be trusted. It’s already happen in Portland, Oregon And I believe somewhere in Canada back in the 80’s a similar incident was also reported. And it’ll only be a matter of time till another area/city goes through the same shenanigans.
Riot Squads and SWAT teams have always been anonymous to protect them and their families from retaliation
And vigilantes have also always been a problem, it’s why it’s illegal and a criminal action
Luckily, Reena seems to get flustered so easily she forgets she’s an Officer so maintaining cover is easy for her.
Will Chapter 3 start Wednesday?
This current chapter’s not quite over yet. We still have a few more pages before getting to Horror High, Part 3.
OK, I REALLY like that! Just so long as Salaiix continues to do the artwork and everything, I’m all up for it!
