Section 4.G — Class Attendance

Students are expected to attend all regularly scheduled classes. Any absences will be recorded and reported directly to the headmistress.

Only the headmistress has the final authority to excuse absences. All missed classes must be made up either by additional course work, mentored tutoring, or by completing after-class study sessions. If assigned make-up work is not achieved in a timely manner, additional consequences may be imposed.

The headmistress may excuse absences and/or allow course deadline extensions only in select circumstances and on a case-by-case basis (health issues, bereavement, temporary leave of absence from Sumter Academy, etc).
