Topic: Bars to avoid?

If we’re compiling a list of worst bars in Pallad City, you can include EVERY dive in the Alka, Lago, and Ardus districts. Trust me, avoid them like the plague.

Lago’s got a booming red-light sector with no shortage of seedy clubs and bars, if that’s your thing. Not sure what’s on offer in Alka, but Ardus is pretty damn rough.

Can’t speak from first hand experience but I’ve got a buddy who made the mistake of visiting a bar in Ardus. It didn’t end well. A little too much alcohol and a nasty confrontation with a drunken punk left my friend hospitalized with several broken bones, many stitches, and a serious concussion.

I’d be afraid to drink what they pass off as beer in any of those sleaze pits.

^What, and miss out on getting drugs secretly put in your drink at no extra charge?

Uh-oh! Things are NOT looking good for Miss Madison now.
Isn’t anyone going to burst right in and stop that guy before things get worse?
And will that case ever be solved at all?
I kinda want to see her get humiliated a bit more first, it’ll make her victory that much more satisfying in the end.
Same, tbh
Uh-Oh. That’s not good, Yo……………….
I know Madison’s a skilled fighter but that’s a very difficult position to get out of.
They’ve both taken a hefty beating. If only Madison could somehow use Wilkos’ broken ribs to her advantage.
She’s just gonna have to take it for now
A true test of a hero isn’t just how much ass they can kick, but how much punishment they can take and still save the day. I’ll bet Madison can take some more punishment before pulling her literal ass out of this.
I look forward to all of the punishment she will take!
Either we deus ex machina or we watch stuff go down for another few panels
That lock isn’t impossible to get out of , not the way he’s applying it.
Every control technique we were taught came with the corresponding escape move and there are a few for this one, hopefully Madison has practiced them so much they’ve become muscle memory, when you’re smaller than and not as strong as the ones you’ll be facing, technique does matter a lot.
That said, sometimes size, strength and leverage makes a bigger difference and it’s time to not play nice anymore and break the ‘rules’ you’re supposed to be following. It’s hard to explain your actions when you’re dead and anything that prevents that is justifiable…until the news smells blood in the water and prints stories that don’t make sense but politicians are quick to use for their own sake.
Genuinely curious about this. How would one get out of this hold? It looks to me like it would be near impossible (or at least very tough) based on Madison’s current prone position.
Wilkos is positioned on top of her legs, pressing his weight down on her and has her arm pinned behind her back. With only one free arm, is there really a way to get out?
Maybe if Madison was the one on top of Wilkos, he could uses his weight or muscle to jostle her off. But with the roles reversed, he’s considerably heavier than her, ruling that out. Her free arm can’t really hit him with an elbow blow. Her legs can kick around, but probably can’t reach his vital spots.
This seems like one of those “your screwed” holds that a fighter never wants to get themselves into. But I could be wrong and escape is possible? Since seeing this page yesterday, I’ve been racking my brain if there was some real world technique to get out of this.
Sorry, I’m rambling…but very intrigued.
It’s a standard restraint hold, probably the most common one, used either prone or standing, and is generally followed by immediately cuffing the offender before they get out of it.
I’m not going to go into the exact ways to get out because there are too many ‘social protesters’ who need to be placed in it and don’t need to know how to get out.
Granted, the odds of any being here are low (but not zero) and looking it up or even finding a youtube video with step by step instructions is easy enough to do, but I won’t feel responsible for anyone doing that.
One thing though, he’s applying it very sloppily and there are a few simple things he could be doing to increase it’s effectiveness dramatically but isn’t. He wouldn’t be given full marks and probably not even a passing grade if it was for qualification.
Just when we thought Madison had the upper hand. Wilk’s a tenacious bastard.
Sadly Madison won’t get any help from her little gun even if she snap her fingers. She used all the ammo on the android.
I am sort of banking on the good doctor to swoop in, save the day, do some medical miracle and then assist Madison in burning of some excess energy.
😀
Exactly, she used all of her ammo, she’s gonna have to get creative and maybe lure him in by backing that ass up and outsmarting him!
summon it, throw it at him and hop he grabs it as a reflexx move then let it shock him ?
I love this position ngl, good luck getting out of this one 😂😂
