This whole chapter’s been one heck of a rollercoaster. With all the action, fanservice, and suspense of what was going to happen next, this might just be my favorite DZO chapter yet.
You’d think a Dr would know that bottles don’t usually break, but skulls do.
The breakaway bottles and windows used in the movies for the last century or so are made of sugar melted and molded or shaped into a ‘glass’ that can be clear or tinted and that shatters spectacularly but has no real mass or structural rigidity behind it to cause injury by impact or sharp edges.
The bottles liquids come in on the other hand, are designed to not break during rough handling or when dropped from a reasonablle height and spill the expensive contents, they’re tested for this to meet or exceed specific standards.
Unfortunately this has all led people to think that it’s alright to hit someone with a bottle and have them come away unhurt when it more often results in concussions, fractured skulls, brain swelling and stitches…lots of stitches, and few things bleed more than a head wound.
An empty one is bad enough but a full bottle with a lot more mass will most likely severely injure and very possibly kill someone if you hit them in the head with it. I’m not saying it isn’t a good idea in this case 😉 but if you can knock someone out by hitting them in the head then you’re very likely causing some brain inury, possibly permanently and a Dr. would know that…better to hit him in the brachial nerve bundle where the shoulder meets the neck, but then he’ll be alive to sue her for that inury, and probably win since she’s both a police dep’t employee and a Dr. (ho should now better), so maybe the skull was a better choice after all 😉
A ton of things in movies, comics, video games, and so on don’t work the way they do in real life. Trying to go full realism with these things usually just makes them less fun.
Well of course, this is a comic and he probably has a plate in his head already or some cyber implant to do his bookkeeping for him, so it’s different than RL 😉
I just mentioned it as a sort of PSA because too many people think it’s alright to just bash someone in the head with a bottle and then I end up cleaning up the mess afterwards…both from the bashers and often the bashees who very likely deserved it, but there are always the ones who don’t and were just in the wrong place at the wrong time when someone muffed a swing but thought “it’s alright, it was just a bottle, funny it didn’t break though”.
One one hand, very true. On the other hand, it’s four-color comics. On the gripping hand, he drugged, assaulted, tried to murder, and was about to rape someone with an extra helping of “and it was a cop.” Wouldn’t nobody cry at that funeral
She was probably counting on the bottle not shattering, as there would have a good chance that it wouldn’t have been strong enough to knock him out
The fact the bottle shattered and still knocked him out was fortunate for her
Belanie saves the day!

Hopefully Madison will be more willing to listen to the good Doctor in the future before she does herself irreparable harm.
Guess the doctor’s in……………finally.
Doctor, if you knew the state Madison is in and the insatiable cravings she has right now, you might have stayed outside.
She still has the bottle neck, and gloves to hold onto the pointy end 😉
She clearly isn’t insatiable as she has been able to control herself

Under the circumstances a little thing like a broken skull is probably the least of her concerns.
In this situation, were she’s stopping a rape of Madison, I’d say she shouldn’t be worrying about the health of the attacker. :p

Fucking finally

The icing on the cake would be if the good Dr. has a strapon in her purse just for him 😉
That was one way to take him down quick.
“Hell,…it’s about time.”
Looks like Miss Madison got saved before things got worse.
We knew she was going to get saved at the last minute.
