[Pallad City Police Department—Dispatch Call]
CALLER: We’ve got an emergency, a construction mech just went berserk! We need help!
DISPATCHER: A construction mech? Is someone operating it?
CALLER: Yes, well, no—not really [audible screams in background]. The situation over here’s bad!
DISPATCHER: Is anyone injured?
CALLED: Not yet—at least not that I know of. But someone’s liable to get killed any minute! We can’t stop this thing!
DISPATCHER: We’re tracing your call to Kelcon Boulevard, on the corner of Linton Street. Is that correct?
CALLER: Yeah, Berkel District. Hurry! Get some cops down here and tell them they better be well armed, this thing’s [inaudible].
DISPATCHED: Sir, what exactly is—
CALLER: I gotta go! Hurry with those cops!
[End of Call]

Stopping Madison from physical exhaustion? Sending in a TAU where one is actually called for? Something else is of even higher priority?
While I do somewhat mourn the loss of the glorious colors, I still really like this art.
I think the reason why the chief is doing that is because he knows Madison would stupidly go to the emergency even though she’s on a different assignment.
A good assessment. But I wonder if the chief is up to something else? Something more nefarious in nature. Hmm.
Umm, they haven’t started the other assignment just yet
True, but they are on the way to that assignment right now and doing something that could potentially cause you to get press coverage would ruin said under cover job. Meredith is not the only police officer in the city. She may be one of the best but that doesn’t mean she can just go off and do what she wants even if it’s with good intentions.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Police Chief knows exactly why the Mayor put the Police Department on that case.
The call sound like a trap.
If it is, very wise to send a TAU instead of PCPD forces.
when did the Chief turn into J Johan Jameson
