PCPD DATABASE ENTRY T-11: MVX HYPER INTERCEPTOR
Developed by Lyger Automotives, the MVX Hyper Interceptor is the leading vehicle of choice for Pallad City police officers.
At the heart of the Hyper Interceptor is a hybrid system that combines an 814cc endothermic rotary engine with four electric motors. The biofuel-fed rotary is linked to a generator that charges lithium-polymer batteries, which then feed power to electric motors installed at the front and rear of the car. The vehicle’s complex powertrain provides the car with four-wheel drive and the equivalent of 370hp. The Interceptor is capable of a 210-mph top speed and can accelerate from 0 to 65 mph in only 3.1 seconds. The vehicle’s body is made entirely of industrial-grade bulletproof aluminum and carbon fiber, and it rests on a carbon-fiber chassis that weighs only 251 pounds.
Each Hyper Interceptor comes equipped with the latest in cutting-edge law enforcement technology. Notable features include a mobile data terminal with wireless connection to the PCPD’s central computer, vehicle tracking systems, speed recognition devices, automatic plate number recognition technology, and augmented-reality windshield displays. And, as with most modern vehicles, the Interceptor is programmed with an optional “smart-pilot” auto-drive setting.
Aside from the standard emergency lights and sirens, the Hyper Interceptor employs a short range transmitter that can interrupt the radio signal of all cars within range to send out traffic broadcasts. The Interceptor can also use RFE (rumble-frequency-emitter) sirens that discharge a low frequency sound felt via physical vibration.
All Interceptors are equipped with a storage locker in the vehicle’s trunk, designed to house tactical firearms such as shotguns and rifles.
Danger Zone One. Story by Midnight. Art by Tanabata Usagi.
Oh, boy! You can definitely see Madison’s judgment starting to be affected by that sleep deprivation. It would’ve been one thing if that was done during a car chase or something but doing that because you’re losing your patience does not look good.
No, not particularly, but in this case I thing Madison doesn’t really care right now. And yes, that can be dangerous.
Wow, Maddy is in a pissy mood today. Oh, she’ll get over it soon I’m sure. Just needs to make a couple arrest.
Sleep deprivation can mess with your judgment, make it harder to concentrate, and mess with your emotional control. Combine that with Madison being injured recently, and you see why Dr. Belanie is so insistent Madison take some time off and rest. Madison is in a job where if you aren’t in decent shape physically and mentally, then you are endangering lives
I thought Tanabata Usagi was doing the art now? The banner still states art by Salaiix.
Thanks for catching that! Just switched it.
Yes. But now, the older pages which were drawn by Salaiix state that Tanabata Usagi is the artist.
wait, so is the budget going into the cars?
