SUMTER: BEST OF THE BEST
By Mae Tresser

With over a century of prestige and excellence to its name, Sumter Academy’s reputation and commitment to education continues to earn extensive recognition. Last week, the institution was awarded the title of Highest Ranked Private Academy in Pallad City (Grades 10-12), an accolade it has held for the past seventy-four years. At present, Sumter also annually outranks all private academies in Nu Metropol and Silica City.

“Sumter is honored to once again be named the Highest Ranked Private Academy in Pallad City,” said Tobias Atram, one of Sumter’s executive administrators. “We will continue to uphold and pursue Ira Sumter’s mission, molding the young women of today into the trailblazers of tomorrow.”

Days ago, the International Institute of Learning bestowed Sumter with the coveted Educational Excellence Award, to honor the Academy’s impressive roster of alumnae.

Back in November, the Pallad City Historical Society featured an exhibit on Ira Sumter, the Academy’s late founder. During the event, Pallad City Mayor Hynden Neville revealed that a statue of Ira Sumter will be erected in Century Park before the end of the year.
