Netpedia Entry: Hypermax Encryption
A rare form of encryption that converts information to multi-scramble ciphertext, rendering data unreadable to any unauthorized party. Hypermax is unique in how it encrypts information—when an attempt is made to access a Hypermax-protected file, it will repeatedly scramble the data in rapid, randomized intervals by partitioning it through multiple DN2-VET barriers. This prevents most unauthorized users from bypassing the encryption, even with top-of-the-line data extractors.

Securing data with Hypermax encryption is a laborious process and, if coded incorrectly, may result in vulnerable exploits. Because of this, only users with advanced NetCode knowledge are capable of effectively utilizing it.

Large corporations have been known to use Hypermax, though its usage has become less prevalent in recent years.
