Science Lab Restock Request
Ms. Thorne,
Our science lab needs a restock of the following items for next week:
- Altric Acid
- Ammonium Hydroxide
- Chloroform
- Ethanol 200 Proof
- Iodine and Potassium Iodide Solution
- Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) 70% or 99%
- Magnesium Ribbon
- Methanol
- Phenolphthalein
- Potassium Chloride
- Sodium Bicarbonate
- Sodium Borate
I would like to request additional safety goggles and several more compound microscopes. The OpticPlus models from last year were exceptional. I noticed the lab’s also short on dissection trays, which will be required for next week’s frog dissection lesson plan.

They should be requesting Ethanol 190 proof. 200 proof means that it has been denatured and is pois… I mean, not as useful.
Anhydrous ethanol is pure 200 proof and is used as a chemical reagent. It can also be used for an expensive bender. Denatured alcohol is almost always designed as such in the laboratory. Have memories of a certain lab Christmas party.
