EXOR Hi-Impact Undergear (from Manufacturer’s Catalog)
Hi-Impact Undergear is the latest addition to EXOR’s extensive line of extreme sportswear.
Designed for motorcyclists and action sport enthusiasts, EXOR Hi-Impact Undergear utilizes dura-hardening material to protect critical areas of the body—chest, ribs, kidneys, and spine—from fatal injury. By incorporating our patented ASPIS SHELL material, EXOR Undergear will instantly harden at any point of sufficient contact/impact stress, helping to absorb dangerous impacts and reduce injury. The sylicon interior of the suit also provides protective padding when met with impact, helping to further prevent internal injuries.
EXOR Undergear is light, durable, provides a comfortable fit, and perfectly contours to the body without restricting movement.
Often imitated, but never duplicated, EXOR remains the innovation leader in protective sports gear.

BOSS FIGHT!
How much more can Madison take?
She is only human,you know.
And things are looking grim right now.
I’ll always appreciate how the written entries either flesh out the world of the comic, or go deeper into the weapons and gear the characters use.
Same
This!
Those little Tidbits of extra info are regularly underapreciated!
Should be standard issue, our response teams had something similar but wore hockey gear over it and kevlar for edged or stabbing protection.
My son had a soft ski helmet some 30 years ago that did the same thing, ‘stiffened’ on impact. The ski hill wouldn’t let anyone under 18 on without one and I can only assume they’ve improved the technology by this point.
Man, if she survives this, it’s going to be nothing short of a miracle, man. Truly. But, seriously, if she does manage to survive this unscathed, I only hope that she continues to wear that hot outfit, but without the shorts this time.
“Need to fight through it or I’m screwed!”
Between that large bulge Wilkos is sporting in panel five and the drugs he previously gave her, she might very well be “screwed” here.
Based on…
1) how fast Madison recovered from the roofie
2) how she’s (somewhat) fighting off the euphoria
3) and now her wondering why the drugs are still in her system
…I think we’ll find out in the future that she has some sort of heightened metabolism. I don’t believe she has any augments, but it could be some program she was in that boosted her biology somehow. Maybe even enhanced her physical endurance. Though the jury’s still out on that one, because its really the bodysuit that saved her ass here.
I recall she was in the military or private military and if there’s one thing I know about cyberpunk fiction, you DO NOT want to be military. Soldiers are always human guinea pigs.
I’m guessing some quasi/completely illegal implants that jack up her adrenaline and enorphins (poss. testosterone) and filter foreign substances.
Agreed
I do NOT want Madison to be a cyborg/android that would ruin the fun.
Possibly be like Goose from Galaxy Rangers: while the rest of his squad were getting jacked up on illegal shit, he refused the enhancement drugs (and turned out to still be better than all of the enhanced arseholes combined)
Top left panel is such a good view! She’s soaking wet! I hope she can find a way to relieve herself once she defeats this robot, maybe a toy these guys have stashed away or some lucky civilian will come along at the right time to help her out
I’m starting to suspect it’s not going to fuck her, and this is disappointing.
Ohhh that’s how she can still move. Cool.
I don’t think she can count on the drugs being metabolised/excreted, though. They’re probably lipophilic with a decent or long half-life.
Unless she’s been augmented against poisons somehow?
Only one way to get it out of her system, fingers crossed some lucky civilian stumbles across her to help her out with that
