The following information is taken from the Pallad City Addiction Center.

Euphoria and Sex

  • Euphoria lowers inhibitions and impairs judgment, making individuals more likely to engage in risky sexual behaviors they might otherwise avoid.
  • Studies show Euphoria users are less likely to use condoms or other forms of protection. In turn, this significantly increases the risk of acquiring sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
  • Euphoria use can lead to engagement in unwanted or regretted sexual encounters, potentially increasing the risk of sexual assault.
  • Euphoria addiction can cause emotional instability, anxiety, paranoia, and depression, which negatively impact sexual intimacy and relationships.
  • The disconnect between heightened sexual desire and the physical inability to perform can lead to frustration and strain on relationships.
  • Euphoria use may be associated with infidelity and a decrease in overall relationship satisfaction.
