Reena’s Journal

Yikes, I haven’t written a journal entry in over a week! I used to write one everyday—but things have been kind of hectic around here. Lately, by the time I get home, I’ve been soooo exhausted. I usually only have time to take a shower before bed…

Oh, yeah, almost forgot—today officially marked the start of my third week as an officer with the Pallad City Police Department! Yay!

Anyway, there’s so much to catch up on. Let’s see…

Well, I finally went to Fantasy Funland last week…it was horrible 🙁 This should be it’s own separate journal entry, but I wouldn’t even know where to begin. I still feel bad about what Haley had to go through. She seemed to handle the whole ordeal really well, though. She’s always been such a strong person. I look up to her so much.

Oh, it turns out that the PCPD has (or had—I guess they don’t use them anymore) canine units called TOTOs. Tactical Operative Total…heh, I kind of forgot what the name stood for. 😀 We ran into one that had malfunctioned and was terrorizing the local park. FYI—their power source is preeeetty unstable. I accidentally shot it and the TOTO exploded!! Luckily, Madison saved me before I was caught in the blast. Whew…

Speaking of Madison, I’m a little worried about her. She seems so driven lately. Doesn’t she ever get tired? Whenever I arrive at the police station she’s already there and most of the time she’ll stick around after I leave, especially over the last few days. I think it has something to do with all the recent Afterlife cases. I don’t know why, but she seems almost obsessed with them. I wonder if there’s something more personal going on? Or maybe she just really wants this drug off the streets. I can’t blame her, the stuff’s awful! I don’t know why anyone would want to put that into their body…I’ve seen the horrific things it does to people.

As for seeing things—I can’t believe the condition of Pallad City’s Ardus District. It’s terrible that people are forced to live in apartment buildings that are in such a state of disrepair (they seriously look ready to collapse!). That’s no way to live. More than anything, I wanted to be a police officer to help people. We stopped a hostage situation in that district, but I didn’t leave there feeling like I helped anyone. I just can’t get it out of my mind. Madison says that conditions are even worse in the Kurtow Ruins. How is that possible!?

Today…didn’t go so well. Madison was really upset with me. I don’t blame her, I really messed up. Again.

She told me to meet her tomorrow at a place called Fit for Fight. The business card says it’s a gym… I wonder what she has in mind? Fortunately, we’re both off duty tomorrow. The Chief practically forced us to take time off—it had something to do with internal affairs and Madison being in trouble for hurting the big guy she fought in that Ardus apartment building. (I heard from Sera that Madison broke two of his fingers after he grabbed her during an interrogation! Wow—a good reason for me to never get on Madison’s bad side…)

Well, that about wraps up this entry—I’m getting so tired my eyelids can barely stay open…
