NICE SHOOTING MADISON! And under duress too. WHEW! now she can breath. Love the angle and perspective of Matt’s rifle, neat. I’m surprised she’s aiming with her left eye, which makes the shot even more impressive seeing she right handed and shooting from the right side.
I am chronically left-handed but I shoot rifles right-handed using my right (dominant, for some reason) eye. One reason is that for most rifles, either bolt action or semi-automatic, that’s how they’re built. Another is that my arms work better that way – lefty just doesn’t fit. Dunno about pistolas, as I haven’t indulged.
Pistols can be fired with ether hand, but use the eye that corresponds with the hand doing the shooting. otherwise you will have difficulty hitting your target. I have tried this and found it is very hard to draw a proper bead the target when you use the opposite eye.
After seeing the second illustration below the main comic I had to look up the artist. It confirmed that she died of Covid-19 on May 5. Sorry to read that. I guess this may have been the final strip that she was able to finish before going into the hospital. Sad to see another talented artist succumb to this pandemic.
Midnight said that she was able to finish this chapter. Yes, she was a talented artist. I loved her works especially her quirky expressions which are reminiscent of 90’s anime. She will be missed.
This is a shame. But I hope this comic doesn’t stop here as I am enjoying it. And I’m probably right in assuming that everyone who reads this wants to see the corrupt mayor eventually get his dues. So the comic can’t end here! T-T
The world lost a talented artist!
I just love how the the background is drawn all nice and sharp while the rifle is blurred a bit. It gives a really nice 3-D effect which really sells the struggle to shoot something. Also, the lining up the front sight post with Madison’s eye, fantastic attention to detail.
The World is diminished with their loss…
