Chief Hardiman:
I am contacting you on behalf of Mayor Neville, who is requesting an update on the Sumter Academy investigation. He wants to confirm if Officer Saffron was successfully placed inside Sumter this morning?
We trust you will provide the Mayor with timely reports and keep us informed regarding all aspects of this investigation. If there are any complications, they should immediately be brought to our attention.

Ms. Burton:
Officer Saffron was inserted into Sumter without issue. As you and Mayor Neville are aware, Officer Wynter is overseeing the investigation and the Department will forward the Mayor all reports relating to this case, as they become available.
I want to stress the fact that undercover investigations can take time and that the Mayor should not expect immediate results.

Okay, you can probably guess by the echo that she’s in a bathroom, and that _she_ believes she’s alone. But you also know her skill (or lack there of) in this regard; just because she thinks she’s not being overheard (alone or not) doesn’t mean she isn’t. Really, the conversation she’s had up to now could be considered a concerned student calling a trusted guardian (which is actually pretty much the case). Your shout about blowing her cover, however, confirms that she’s an undercover.
Indeed. There could be hidden cameras and microphones in the washrooms too. Like behind the mirrors for instance.
