CHAOS IN KARZOSTAN

The border situation between Karzostan and Zardika escalated into full-scale war yesterday after both sides exchanged airstrikes on each others’ soil. Prominent military bases were targeted, along with several civilian-occupied districts. Recent hostilities have effectively ended any discussion related to last year’s proposed peace negotiations. The two countries have been engaged in a long-standing conflict for nearly two decades over territorial disputes.
Further complicating matters, six months ago it was discovered that Karzostan possessed vast deposits of the rare mineral, Torenium. The mineral’s value could potentially affect the economic and political landscape in the region, but Zardika’s officials have remained adamant that the deposits were on land illegally obtained by the Karzostani military.
After the recent airstrike exchange, Zardika has blockaded Karzostani ports, declaring its coastal waters “war zones” and ordered soldiers into Karzostan, where reports of ground combat have been confirmed.
In addition to their own militaries, it’s rumored that both Zardika and Karzostan have employed numerous private security contractors for “advanced tactical operations.”

Oh man, all the detail here is killer. Eager to see where this chapter leads.
Judging by the post on the bottom saying it was 4 years ago and Madison’s own background of being a PMC contractor, she must have participated in this conflict before being a police officer.
