Now the question becomes whether or not ends up back in her office or the hospital first?
What is this so personal for Belanie?
Maybe she is the one who has issues and she’s transferring them to Madi
Munchhausen-by-proxy?
That or she has seen this happen before where someone she knew worked themselves so hard that it cost them their life and maybe the lives of others.
Maybe Raye is just so passionate about her job that it becomes a bit personal. Madison’s health issues (both physical and psychological) can easily put Reena in danger, possibly more of the police force and civilians as well, if nothing else then simply through the loss of Madison. Raye sees the importance of this and sees the health issues of everyone at the police force as her responsibility (maybe her job description doesn’t include psychological health, but it’s quite likely that it does). So far all is as it should, I think, if this is correct.
But Madison doesn’t follow directions. Maybe Raye takes this personally, which would be a bit wrong, but rather understandable. Maybe Raye would see it as a personal failure if she fails to help Madison before it goes badly. Also not quite right, blame should be completely on Madison, but also understandable.
On the other hand, maybe she simply sees Madisons issues with following directions as potentially part of Madison’s other psychological issues (what we’ve seen is likely to cause issues with trusting authority). Perhaps that’s a bit too far into psychiatry for Raye’s job description but maybe she is qualified or even expected to take on also such issues if need be (and there certainly is). If so it’s not really personal, it’s just Raye giving it all for the most difficult of her patients, in the best interests of the PCPD.
Doctor will check on Madison within 24 hours. That’s if she’s still alive Doc. 24 hours can bring all kinds of new combat situations.
