Danger Zone One. Story by Midnight. Art by Salaiix.
I’d say that Chief Hardiman is going to to get quite an ear-full in just a little while …
I am not caught up with the story, but wanted to say that I am loving this comic! You had me hooked from the first few pages and I’m binge-reading everything as I get the time to do so (all the way up to chapter 4! Woot! – yeah, I’m kinda slow). I had followed your ad that was showing with the “Delve” comic (so, yes, your ads are bringing in new readers … well one at least).
I do wonder if there isn’t just a slight bit of influence from one of my favorite anime series; “You’re Under Arrest”? This is really an excellent comic and I love the characters and story lines so far. Loved them enough to go to Patreon for the “extra content”. Love the “S… exercise” story line too!
Thanks for all your hard work Midnight and Salaiix! I hope this keeps going for a long time!
Thank you! We’re thrilled to hear you’re enjoying the comic and thank you for supporting it on Patreon! Also, big thanks for letting us know that the Delve ad brought you here — it’s always great (and extremely helpful for future advertising) to find out how readers are discovering Danger Zone One.
Regarding the anime influence, you’re spot on! DZO is very much influenced by a number of ‘80s/‘90s anime titles, including You’re Under Arrest, Bubblegum Crisis, Gunsmith Cats, etc…
Thanks again for checking out the comic!
OMG!!! Bubblegum Crisis/Crash was the very first anime I ever became a fan of! Talk about an anime that was cut short in it’s life, though … And the “… 2040” just wasn’t quite the same.
Again, thanks for all the hard work and the entertainment you’re giving us!
You should get caught up on the story because the Chief has a legitimate reason to sideline Madison though.
I’m working on it! LOL
Maybe Gripps will actually be able to focus since there won’t be any females in the room…
Maybe.
I imagine she has a ton of phones, like Gibbs on NCIS. Whenever he wrecks his (non-smart)phone, they just open a drawer and grab another
whoops, those were glasses, my bad…
