It’s basically proven that certain combinations of visuals, lights, and even sounds can overload a human brain. If someone opens a file, gets one of these screens on their computer, and sees just the right sequence of flashes, patterns, or colors, I bet it could be deadly. I’m going with *fact* on this one.

If such a thing exists, the applications would be endless, not to mention extremely disturbing. What’s to stop one of these death screens from being sent to someone’s NetPhone? Open a text or check a notification and it could kill you. Some lone nut tech-wiz could rack up a serious body count pretty quickly.

A few years ago there was an article in Conspiracy Culture called “Case of the Murder Messages” that covered the death screen phenomenon. Almost a dozen people died after opening suspicious NetMails and texts, all in the same week. Of course, the “official” reports try to discredit this, but don’t they always?
