Chapter 25, Page 32
The following is an excerpt taken from Tashida Kom’s guide, Self-Defense Tactics 101.
The Knees and Chin—A Perfect Combo
The knees are considered TST—Tactical Strike Territory—areas that are particularly vulnerable to a well-placed attack.
When confronted by an assailant, targeting their knee can cause them serious damage or permanent injury, depending on the force and angle of your strike. A snap kick or low side kick to the knee will disable an attacker and upset their balance, causing their head to shift forward.
You can immediately follow up with an uppercut to the chin. This is a short-range boxing technique, designed to snap an opponent’s head upward, often causing a knockout by disrupting brain function. Delivered vertically from a slightly lowered position, using leg and hip rotation for power, an uppercut can slip through your opponent’s guard and end the fight.
According to the International Journal of Sports Medicine, over 50% percent of all knockouts in fighting competitions are due to chin strikes.

New haircut is better than the alternative.
Oh, I love the view of Madison’s bum in the first panel!!!
Holy crap! He really doesn’t know how to use a sword like his!
“Everybody ahs a plan till they get punched in the face” – Mike Tyson
“Shoryken” – Ken Masters (used him since his was always the strongest Dragon Uppercut)
Madison with the one-two, if this isn’t a knockout I’ll be surprised.
1-2-K.O!!!!!!!!!!! 😁😎
Quick! Get the three of them tied up before any can recover. That’s one of the biggest mistakes good guys make in situations like this
As one of my instructors used to say: “It takes seven pounds of pressure to pop a knee, you get Worker’s Comp, they don’t.”
Always turn you head a little when delivering an uppercut like that, you don’t want blood in your eyes if he bites his tongue off 😉
Well, at least Madison got a free haircut for her troubles.
Huh, a slash with a rapier. Not even an amateur much less a swordsman. Madison is going to shove that thing where the sun don’t shine. Wow, uppercut starting from the floor,, he’s done.
Yeah, even with a longsword or other cutter, if there’s a point use that if you can. it’s harder to see coming and block, keeps your distance, and generally goes deeper…poking joints or major muscles is generally considered to be annoying 😉
True. His stance was totally off and not in a guard mode at all. He should have been sideways with the rapier extended towards Madison which would have extended his reach 2-3 feet. He could have countered those moves she made. A downward flip of the wrist would have impaled some part of leg during her first kick. No skills at all.
Granted I’d rather have a sabre or broadsword, but if you carry a rapier, then you should learn how to use it for something other than scaring kidnapped girls..
Madison’s out here breaking bones and taking down thugs like Batman in the Arkham games!
Probably the first time he’s ever taken the pig-sticker out of the cane 😛
Whoa! Madison can still put up a fight!
Things are about to get very interesting!
