Chapter 6, Page 29
[Encrypted Memo]
Field Team Delta,
Mr. Alacore requests a Level Seven cleanup at the Volkan Island research facility (coordinates and all supplemental details attached).
This takes top priority. Due to the detail-oriented nature of this assignment and its close personal interest to Mr. Alacore, I will personally be reviewing each team members’ field report once they are submitted.

Isn’t that kind of how it looks already?
The real trick will be covering up where the money came from.
Short of slagging everything, and then somehow hiding the slag, the paper trail will always lead right back to Alacore.
His best bet is let the investigation run to completion without interference, bribe the news media to be silent, and then bribe the PCPD to shut up. Not only will that be effective, but even if it costs millions it will be a bargain.
Really, the only thing that needs to be eliminated are any communications logs between Alacore and the bad doctor, and all of her research so Alacore can claim they didn’t steal the work from the company that owns the island (which, of course, they did). Hmm. That latter part, especially since there are physical representations of her work existing, might be more difficult.
If Alacore’s people are able to make the whole thing disappear without destroying the island, I think this would be a perfect opportunity for a cameo: Candace Flynn of “Phineas and Ferb” fame. She could be one of the CSI people going to the island.
Saffron: But…but….it was JUST HERE!!
Candace: Believe me girl, I know how you feel.
“Sir, it actually *was* a lab accident.”
“Arrrrrgh! Make it look like a DIFFERENT lab accident!”
I don’t know if I’d label the original incident as an “accident” per se. More like a mass murder, since the scientist purposefully unleashed her pet creature to get rid of the other workers.
