Breaking news, we’ve just received confirmation that a massive airstrike has hit the Karzostani city of Rahjeen. Sources indicate that the city had previously been occupied by a Zardikan-sponsored private military company. The number of casualties are currently unknown. We will keep you updated as the situation develops.

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”
A profound statement. But is it the best way to live? Love can indeed be pain, but it is a vital part of all of us, as it is through love we learn joy, pain, elation, sorrow, and eventually, light.
Yep, when it comes to love, Corinthians 13 all the way IMO.
Little does this commander realize that it is the grit that polishes a pebble into a gem. The heart needs to experience all, especially pain, in order to grow stronger. By locking the heart away the individual in turn becomes far more fragile then even they are aware of. Stagnation kills while those who grind excel.
Hmm, wonder how big that thing sticking in Riven’s back is…
Not trying to hijack the seriousness of the situation, but Satori sure seems like there was more to taking Maddie under her wing than just an admiration of her combat abilities. That last statement sounds like the regretful non-confession of love someone might make on their deathbed, which I’m guessing is where Satori is unfortunately headed.
Top right might be my favorite panel of all time
