PCPD DATABASE ENTRY T-07: HALVOK MODEL FIREARMS
A law enforcement office’s lifeline is his or her weapon. Guns for law enforcement must be powerful enough to stop criminals and accurate enough to help officers hit their mark.
Manufactured by Accelerated Designs Multinational (ADM), the Halvok model firearms are the standard issue weapon for PCPD officers. The latest model, the Halvok 99, boasts unsurpassed durability, accuracy, and versatility. It features a simple design, is easy to clean, and has been designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions, justifying it as an ideal option for officers in all regions of the world.
The Halvok 99 uses .475 caliber ammunition. It has a larger magazine capacity than earlier models, holding 15 rounds. Compatible high-capacity magazines are available. The 99 model also has an ambidextrous catch, earning it the approval of both left and right handed officers. It should be noted that, despite utilizing the latest in recoil reduction technology, the Halvok 99 still has a noticeable kickback when fired, making it unwieldy for those with less firearm experience. This is partly due to ADM’s specially designed ammunition, the EAP (Enhanced Armor Piercing) rounds, which are capable of penetrating Avkar body armor and tetalium plating. Officers unaccustomed to the 99 model’s increased recoil may choose to opt for the smaller 98-B model, which sacrifices the 99’s impressive power in favor of reduced size and weight (the 98-B model has the capability to fire both 9mm and .40 caliber ammunition). The Halvok 99 also features Smart Target Acquisition technology.
ADM’s earlier Ventok series of firearms had been predominantly used by the PCPD until the line was phased out earlier this year. However, the Ventok 77 still sees frequent use by law enforcement agencies in cities like Old Metro and Silica, where compact, lightweight design is preferred over stopping power.
As per the Telson Act, all ADM firearms feature BID chip technology.

Buddy, you might want to re-think this idea of squeezing the butt of a lady holding a loaded gun.
Especially one who has just demonstrable proved that she could claim any firing mishaps were a “complete accident.”
Well said!
would you be able to hold yourself back from that ass tho?
sigh…if she was taught to shoot at the Academy and she had her stance and sight picture right she would have hit the target. The recoil of a gun does not hit the shooter until after the bullet exits the barrel. if she was scared of the gun, and not practicing her basics she could very well have missed. but she did say ‘ Just like basic training…”
Yes but the ‘recommendation letter’ a few pages back lampshaded the shortness of basic training, and that she wasn’t a gifted cadet, just a committed/caring one. That she has no business being an officer looks to be a basic part of the overall story.
So true. Even if she learned the basic technique flawlessly, it still takes practice to be consistently on-target. At least she kept her elbows firmly locked & shoulders kept more loosely than her elbows, otherwise the recoil would have pushed the gun to konk her in the face!
You may want to rewrite your description of the Halvok 99. There is no way 9mm or .40 is producing anywhere near much that recoil – especially if there is some sort of futuristic recoil reduction technology. Further, 15 rounds is the same or worse than most of guns currently in use.
Make it something like .44 Automag or .475 Wildey Magnum and justify it with the need to penetrate future body armor and this scene becomes much more believable.
Thanks for pointing that out, details like those are always extremely helpful! I’ve updated the description with the new ammunition and added some extra info about the recoil.
Halvok 99 could also make use of some less penetrating lead ammo with less propellant for situations where target don’t have military grade protection gear. Makes less collateral damage. For situations where target has military gear or a vehicle, then load full power armor piercing.
I’m hoping she has a spine.
Her getting blown out of her ear protectors was a nice touch.
