Section 12.B – Theft of Personal Property

Unauthorized possession or removal of personal property belonging to other students, staff, or school personnel will result in disciplinary action. Any students found responsible for theft or attempted theft will face consequences that may include student status changes, restitution, fines, and/or recommendation for expulsion.

To prevent theft, students should always secure and lock valuables in dorm rooms. In addition, avoid sharing lockers with other individuals.

All instances of theft should be reported to the Headmistress immediately.

Sumter Academy shall not be liable for theft or loss of personal property on school grounds.
