Idion 8S NetPhone – Customer Review
Great until you drop it!
Initially I had no complaints. The 8S looks great, it’s easy to use, and has all the features I wanted. It worked beautifully the first month I owned it. Then I dropped it. It fell four feet from a kitchen countertop onto the floor. The thing is demolished. Literally. Screen cracked, cheap casing split open, and now it won’t turn on no matter what I do. I must’ve owned seven other NetPhones in my life and accidentally dropped them all at one point and they all survived. Not only that, they were much cheaper! I bought the launch model 8S for $3,000!! If I only knew… and now their customer support’s giving me the runaround, despite me buying the protection plan! Basically, I need to bring it in for repairs and pay out of pocket (read that fine print, folks) or I’m out three grand!
Why would Idion make a NetPhone that’s so insanely fragile?! What “genius” designed this thing? The best part—it’s advertised as being impact resistant! 🙁 Next time I’m buying a Zahda brand NetPhone!!
TL;DR: Only buy with this piece of crap if you’ve got deep pockets and want an 8S to parade your wealth for all to see. Idion is so idiotically regarded as a major luxury brand, but price doesn’t always equal quality. Lesson learned.

And if you do buy it, get a nice sturdy case for it!
