NOTICE TO ALL PCPD OFFICERS:

Due to officer shortages and reduced fitness standards in compliance with Order R.34 of the Fast-Track Program, the yearly police fitness tests have been suspended.

However, all officers are encouraged to continue maintaining fitness standards that meet or exceed our prior physical requirements.

This includes:

  • Cardiovascular Health: Reaching/surpassing the 50th percentile on the 1.5-mile run or 500-meter row.
  • Muscular Endurance: Able to complete a 1-minute push-up/sit-up assessment.
  • Agility/Strength: Able to complete the 300-meter sprint, fence climbs, or dummy drags tests.
  • Specialized: Passing prior job-related tests like stair climbing and trigger pulls.
